Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
For my whole teenage years, I played basketball. I was privileged enough to travel Europe playing at a high level. To some, basketball may just seem like dribbling a ball and shooting a shot however there are so many more intricacies to it than that.
From practicing for a game day and ensuring I was going to play my best, to working with a team of others all focused on the same goal, building strength, endurance and stamina to achieve success and victory, together as one.
To some, worship may just seem like a song or a band playing or a time when we sing on a Sunday however there is so much more to it than that.
Worship is a time where people from any background and walk of life can come together and are all focused on the same goal, Jesus.
Worship builds strength, endurance and stamina to achieve success and victory together as one in our lives.
When we worship, we give everything to God, every worry, our pain, our problems and surrender them to him. When we worship, we give thanks, we praise him for all he has done and prepare for all he is doing.
When we worship, we believe for salvation, restoration and healing for those hurting.
I’m thankful to be part of a team that comes together with the same focus, Jesus. Worship allows me to thank God for all he has done and align myself to the plans and purpose he has over my life.
Worship is not a song, or some notes played but a lifestyle and one which helps me run with endurance the race God has set before me.
I’m believing that worship night brings restoration and healing to those who need it and that moments will be created for people to experience peace in the presence of God.
